Terms of Service - Boring Money

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Boring Money ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Boring Money is a personal finance management application that allows you to track income, expenses, budgets, savings goals, and investments. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

Be at least 16 years of age
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Provide valid payment information for subscription services

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Pricing

Boring Money offers two subscription tiers: Basic (9€/month) and Pro (29€/month). Annual subscriptions are available at a discounted rate.

4.2 Free Trial

New users receive one free month of Basic access. A valid payment method is required at registration to prevent abuse. You will be charged at the end of the free month unless you cancel.

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access will continue until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds will be provided.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials
Share your account with others
Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Boring Money and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you enter into the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter.

8. Disclaimer

Boring Money is not a financial advisor. The Service provides tools for tracking and organizing your finances, but does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boring Money shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Boring Money from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Modifications to Service

We continuously improve Boring Money and may update features or these Terms from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification. If we ever need to discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 30 days notice and allow you to export your data.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Geneva, Switzerland.
